Emotional Jet Lag
Emotional Jet Lag; that is a undertatement of grief, the fact that jet lag comes to mind in the first place, just after flying somewhere and put's you into a dehydrated state, and unable to think properly, but to come to the fact that grief, will put you into a state of dehydration, is more life threating then, your tipical jetlag.
Most of us have been falsely socialized to shift the emotional reaction into intellect.
But the fact is it is not a intellectual thing to comprehend... the head is not broken, the heart is broken.
It maybe true to say "life go's on. without them or don't feel bad, at least you had them for a while.
these comments are not helpfull nor reasonable to the grieving person.
If a person came up to you and saw a arrow sticking out of your chest, and blood dripping from it, you would probably recongnise that the person might be in massive physcial pain, and not say; at least it wasn't a poison arrow, and walk away, they most likely would say "My gosh, you must be in terrible pain, let me call an ambulance."
Don't fight it be gentle with yourself, you maybe unable to do the things you did before.
take it slow, and rememeber it takes time to grieve find your own path through the journey of life.
